How Mommy Found Me!
Well, mom had lost her beloved Hub the summer before I was born. She was still very sad because she knew no other dog could replace him. But she was considering getting a German Shepherd when the time was right. Hub was a beautiful, kind, loving, Australian Shepherd, so I have been told. I was born September 23, 2009. Mom's friend, Beth Ann, told her about a sign for German Shepherd Puppies down the road from her new house. So when mom was helping her friend move to her new house, she stopped to check out the puppies....me!! She parked out front and as a courtesy called the number on the sign before stopping in. My breeder...Mike, of Universal K9, answered and was home shortly. He got me out and I saw mom and looked her dead in the eye and ran to her as fast as my big paws would let me!! She swooped me up and cuddled me! Our hearts met!! Then I looked in the mirror by where she was standing and put on the cutest, alert face...the cutest I could....I tried my heart out to be the best puppy ever! Sadly, after mom and Mike had a very long talk about everything, she handed me back and went out the door. Mike and I were both confused. I had done my very best? Then Mike said mom emailed asking if he would let her know if he had another litter of pups and he said I was still available!! Mike showed me to other people but wouldn't let them take me home. He knew where I belonged. A short time later, on January 18, 2010, mom came back! I ran to her again!!! And we have been together ever since!
My Home
My home is where my mom is.....but she lives on a great 30 acre farm in Ohio with horses and creeks and woods and all kinds of fun things to do! What a great place to grow up! I have three brothers too. I have two wire haired fox terriers called Archie and Boochie. Boochie is grumbly and plays sometimes. Archie sleeps alot and likes his belly rubbed. Then there is Oscar a weiner dog. He is older and grumpy and lays around alot, but likes to eat! And we just got Sparty, who is a Cairne terrier and we play and play and play and play and play and play!! I miss Eddie. He has gone ahead to doggy heaven. He was the best Jack Russel friend a dog could have. I'll see him again someday.
My Hobbies
I really don't know where to start! I love everything!! Mom said it was important to be social so we SHOP alot!!! I get to go to pet stores and malls! I have even been in a Coach purse store! The people at Eddie Bauer in Lodi treat me like a queen and know me by name! We also go to parks where I jump the swings, ride the merry go rounds, climb the slide ladders and slide down! We go swimming at our friends pond and play! Sometimes mom goes swimming with me. I go to work with her to do photoshoots at pet stores and farms. And, of course, I can't for get to mention going to agility! That is soooo much fun! So much as a matter of fact....I have trouble not barking for joy through the course work! I have studied and passed my canine good citizen test and also passed my therapy dog test! I am really looking forward to those visits. Mom always tries to give me new experiences and I love it. There will be more on this in other areas of the website.
